Food Manager Certification in Oregon
The food handler card is not the only training rule — Oregon also has a separate requirement for certified food protection managers:
Phasing in. Under OHA's food manager certification rules: by January 1, 2029 at least one person per establishment must be a certified food protection manager (CFPM); by January 1, 2031 at least one person in charge working each day must be a CFPM. Managers who pass an OHA-listed course are exempt from the food handler card and their certificate is valid in any county statewide.
